भारतीय रेलवे प्रशिक्षु (Apprentice) अधिनियम, 1961 के तहत कुछ निर्दिष्ट ट्रेडों में प्रशिक्षुओं (Apprentice) को प्रशिक्षित करता है।
प्रशिक्षुओं (Apprentice) के प्रशिक्षण को विनियमित और नियंत्रित करने के लिए सरकार द्वारा अधिनियम बनाया गया था।
रेलवे सिविल, मैकेनिकल और एस एंड टी इंजीनियरिंग विभागों, उत्पादन इकाइयों, डीजल और इलेक्ट्रिक लोको शेड, कैरिज और वैगन डिपो और विद्युतीकरण परियोजनाओं की कार्यशालाओं में प्रशिक्षुओं (Apprenticeship) को नियुक्त करता है।

How can I become a railway apprentice?

Education Qualification [शैक्षणिक पात्रता]

50% गुणांसह (SSC) 10 वी Pass +
[फिटर/वेल्डर/ मेकॅनिक(डिझेल)/मेकॅनिक (MV)/पेंटर/कारपेंटर/वायरमन/लाईनमन/Ref.& AC Mechanic/इलेक्ट्रिशियन / Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance’ (MMTM)] या पैकी कोणताही ITI कोर्स पास आवश्यक.

The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from a government recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. However for the following Trades, the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:
- i. Welder (Gas and Electric)
- ii. Sheet Metal Worker
- iii. Lineman
- iv. Wireman
- v. Carpenter
- vi. Painter (General)
The candidate should have already been in possession of the prescribed qualification on the
date of issue of notification.

How to Apply [अर्ज पद्धती]-

Online Application form for the post of Eastern Railway Apprenticeship for ITI Pass.
1. The candidates are required to apply ONLINE by visiting the link provided on the Notice Board of official website of RRC/ER Kolkata (www.rrcer.com). Recruitment in Eastern Railway Apprentice 2022 They must go through the detailed instructions before filling up the online applications. All relevant items must be carefully filled up by the candidate himself. The particulars like the Name, Date of Birth, Father’s name, etc. must be identical with the same what have been recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate.

Selection Process:-

Selection will be on the basis of merit prepared in respect of all eligible candidates who apply against the notification.
For the trades for which only class 10th pass is the minimum qualification, a separate merit list will be drawn for candidates eligible taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, the candidate who passed the matriculation examination earlier shall be considered first.
